01-25-08: The wizards at Roush Performance are answering the call in the market for a less expensive and more efficient way for buyers to enjoy the driving experience and feel of a true Roush Mustang. Coming to dealers soon will be a new V6 Mustang package for the Mustang that takes a number of the popular Roush elements and creates a unique model all its own.
The Roush V6 Mustang has its own look to differentiate it from other models like the Stage models and the 427 / 428R ranges, but the look is unmistakably Roush. The package of course is based on the Mustang’s 4.0 liter V6 which can deliver up to 26 mph highway with a 5-speed manual.
The core components of the package (listed in detail below) have many of the staple Roush touches. The most important of course is a special Roush suspension package and a set of those cool looking Roush 18” wheels. This dramatically improves the handling over the standard V6 model and provides the Roush driving experience.
It has all the visuals with exception of the full blown Roush body package, but it still has a strong list of styling touches that improve the look of the car substantially, giving it a decidedly meaner look inside and out. The Roush package starts at $5,195 and is built upon the V6 Premium Pony Package which has an MSRP of around $22,215. So the base price of a Roush V6 Mustang should start out around the neighborhood of $27,500. Of course Ford and Roush options can take it up from there.
